I really can't believe that it's July already! This summer is just flying by! One month from today I have to return to work and start my new adventure.

The Sheepfold helps provide an independent living environment and hope for a positive future for women and children that are being domestically abused. Abuse is not something to overlook and just assume the person will become free eventually. Abuse is a serious situation and often times the one being abused doesn't recognize that the violence isn't okay and they should seek help. And the victim often blames themselves for being abused because she loves him. If she leaves how will she find love again? She will just behave better and the abuse will stop. This is what the abused tends to tell themselves. But when the victim knows they should leave fear often stops them because they do not know where to go for safety. The Sheepfold is providing that safety and we can help.

Most of us don't understand what it means to starve, sure we get hungry and say we're starving, but really we can't fathom what it would be like to really be starving. Just for one second close your eyes and imagine what it would be like to go without food. What does that thought do to you? Does it leave you feeling like this?
